WORST OF.GREEK ' FILOXENIA' . Exploitation with anonymity. Positive: FIRST IMPRESSION Lovely on bright SUNDAY AFTERNOON Pool., brand new villas ..easy parking. Seaview. Quiet...but........on the other hand . Negative: DISGRACEFUL , RUTHLESS EXPLOITATION and disrespectful money grabbing behaviour on part of KALAMATA proprietor ! Arrival to calm Sunday. Monday at 7.30 am awakened to TWO MONSTROUS EXCAVATORS ON BUILDING SITE right alongside the suite . The continuous excavating noise reverberated throughout and around IPSO ' ..on Southern edge of Kardamyli. By the way at least 2.5 kms from.any beach in the foothills I shouted out to to a workman who said they worked during the weekdays 7.30 to 15.30. I immediately rang Owner ..no answer. Rang booking to get a young Filippina script.reader ....trained to deflect problems - Ineffective , evasive..useless ..had to expunge commitment from her for resolution. I finally got through to Owner in Kalamata who claimed to be trying to STOP WORK. This was an impossible suggestion Evidently , according to another visitor.. his family had had to suffer the same noise on Fri and Sat morning ! I deciced to PACK UP and find new accommodation in another town. Luckily I had a car hire I knew that if I stayed beyond 10.30 am, I would be charged another night. I had PREPAID 3 nights already Accommodation was scarce in Kardamyli during the Jazz Festival I alerted owner of my intentions and demanded a full REFUND . MR Agiris claimed that that the real Owners were in the UK....that they would ONLY refund 2 of 3 nights..uhmm I did not accept and offered 50 % payment of one night...given the huge inconvenience , lack of sleep and 3.hours lost that morning on calls of complaint . I left and I eventually found substitute accommodation without booking In the next town 6 miles away. BOOKING.com in these circumstances always protects the PROPRIETOR..not the tenant; I have learnt this over the years , despite being level 3 'Genius' 🤔... BOOKING, Athens called me later.in the day . She advised me to accept 2 nights since by 'law' I.might only get back 15% of total if I contested. I acquiesced and accepted 2 nights refund..not.

At the time of stay,the apartment was not fit for letting. Positive: The apartment had a pool Negative: The apartment was 5 meter from digging site construction. The owner shoud never let this apartment while the work is in proccess. The noise level was dengeres. I canceled my booking after the first night and found an alternative.

A delightful place to stay. Positive: No breakfast as self catering. Lovely property in a beautiful garden. The location is stunning with beautiful views and a delightful swimming pool. The property is on the edge of the town and very quiet.
